This bank owned home has been for sale for almost a year, under 4 different agents, starting at $529K. We have some folks interested in properties with similar features so we went out for a look. On the surface it has a lot going for it: a big modern home, elegant country style, 2.4 acres not far out of town. It sports a big 742 sq ft garage. It went through foreclosure with just a few dings. If we had to guess as to why it hasn’t sold yet, it might be the view out the front:
Older manufactured homes are visible to either side of the property from the front porch. Being longtime Shasta County residents, this looks normal to us. But we could see how a buyer with $439K in their hand might see it differently. In any event, we note that the price you see listed here is asking price. No doubt the bank/seller is tired of waiting for it to sell, and may entertain your offer with favor. According to records, the seller is Wells Fargo. Well, not exactly East Redding. More like Bella Vista. We do always like to see the “Where Is” disclosure. No moving it, folks. And where it is, is between two manufactured homes in the country, on a rural road winding through unincorporated Shasta County outside of Redding.
