We recall this home when it was first listed last June for $85K. We didn’t feature it as the deal of the day, but we did have a client quite interested in it. That interest didn’t lead anywhere, and neither did the sale apparently. It was a hot listing, and at some point, it seems to have, er, overheated, shall we say.

We can imagine THAT call to the listing agent. Not a call you want to get. We recall back when we listed REOs that we once got a call at 10:00 pm asking “Are you aware there is water coming out the front door of your listing?” Gosh, no I wasn’t aware of that. It was a distinct sinking feeling. We can picture the scene. “Are you aware that your listing is on fire?” REO flambeaux.

What a lovely country style kitchen. And just look at that ceiling treatment. So open and airy.

Can’t you picture a cozy fire here? Not just in the woodstove, but filling the entire room?

We only kid a little bit. It’s not really funny. These banks have set up hazards by foreclosure, both moral and physical. The danger of vacant homes is evident here, the danger of absent ethics is a bit harder to see clearly. Representing the bank’s now damaged interests in this sale is foreclosure listing agent Lynda Martz of the Real Estate Group. She writes of it:

“Property had fire on the interior. Windows are boarded and there are viewing the property should be done VERY CAREFULLY.”

“Hey it’s dark in here, anybody got a match?”

Call us up and we can get you nearby for a look inside. From the outside. We can show you any bank owned home, flambeaux or no. We rely on your call and referrals, so thanks!
